A design kit in patina and print

About

I'm Danny Englander, and I designed Verdigris in collaboration with Claude Code. It starts from my Swiss Minimal kit, and adds Cormorant, copper and a little ornament.

Verdigris is a small design kit for type-led sites: one family, flat color, the scotch rule and ornament that earns its place, and works well with AI agents.

This page exists to check the type scale on running text. Body copy sits at 26px with a line height of 1.55 (22px on phones), because Cormorant is small on its body. Headings rely on size alone, in the light weight; there are no colored headings and no boxes to prop them up.

The palette is paper, ink and two metals. Cream paper, a green-black ink, a muted grey-green for secondary text, verdigris for the one thing that matters on a screen, and copper for labels and ornament. Small text in either metal uses a darker tone on the page so it still passes contrast.

Each page of the menu has its own link. Write to us on the contact page, or see the features and when each arrived.

Code is the one place a second family appears. To start a site, copy kit/ and fonts/ into src/design/ and import the kit from your global stylesheet; press Tab to see the focus ring.

@import "../design/kit/tailwind.css";
/* site-only CSS below */

Terminal output and logs sit on a dark block, the same in both themes, with commands in bold and errors in the accent.
